Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps them make an arrest in a July 2 homicide at a house on Herndon Court.
Garrett Howard Bridges, 25, who police said was known by the street name “Montana Mack,” was killed with a gun about 2 a.m. after two people entered his home at 68 Herndon Court, investigators determined.
They did not say if they had any indication who the two people are, but they posted the reward July 8 and are still asking for the public’s help to get more information, town spokeswoman Stacy Beard said Wednesday.
Police had said they think Bridges knew his killers. Town detectives have been working with the State Bureau of Investigation to find those people, they said.

Bridges had been released from prison March 26 after serving sentences for felony marijuana possession, possession of stolen property and maintaining a place to keep and sell drugs.
Police asked people with information to call Clayton CrimeStoppers at 919-359-TIPZ (8479) if they saw anything in the early morning hours of July 2 or know anything about what happened or who might have been involved.
Callers can remain anonymous, calls are not traced and callers may be eligible for the reward.
