Rebecca Tibbetts of Raleigh has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

Rebecca designed and implemented the “Let’s Get Crafty” program at Independence Village, a local facility for senior citizens. In addition to renovating the facility’s craft room, she also organized an arts and crafts supply drive involving her church’s youth group. She also spent time leading craft projects with residents at the facility.

Rebecca is the daughter of Elizabeth and Larry Tibbetts. She is a graduate of Leesville Road High School and is a freshman at Appalachian State University. Rebecca was a member of Girl Scout Troop 154.
