Two Wake County boys have attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

▪ Quinton Callahan Meagher of Cary completed a project for Douglas Elementary School in Raleigh, requiring 143 man hours of work. Quinton, an Athens Drive High School sophomore, expanded the school’s outdoor theater so it could accommodate more students. He replaced the rotting stage with a much larger wooden stage and all of the wood on four rotting benches. He also added two new benches.

Quinton is the son of Michael and Mary Ann Meagher. Quinton is a member of Troop 316 and has earned 23 merit badges.

▪ Andrew Hoang Huynh of Raleigh led a small group that built picnic tables for the Vietnamese Catholic community at Our Lady of La Vang in Raleigh.

Andrew created a space for children to play and eat at the community house. The picnic tables can be rearranged to serve as church pews for the morning mass services.

Andrew is a senior at Raleigh Charter High School and earned 26 merit badges. Andrew is the son of Kim Hoang and Tung Huynh.

He is a member of Troop 207.
