Two members of Scout Troop 100 at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Scouting. Both boys started in Webelos at the church in 2007 and served in various roles in their troop.

Jack Holloway of Raleigh organized a basketball tournament and collected donated recreational equipment and building supplies. These supplies were converted into benches for the Neighbor to Neighbor basketball courts. Jack is a senior at Broughton High School and is the son of Leigh and John Holloway. He will attend Sewanee: The University of the South in the fall.

John Turlington of Raleigh produced videos on fire safety, knife safety and “leaving no trace” to discourage litter. The videos were produced for use by Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church Camp and Retreat Center in Eland. John is a senior at Enloe High School and is the son of Marla and Ed Turlington. He will attend Davidson College in the fall.
