Park Scholars named at NCSU

N.C. State University’s Park Scholarships program has named 40 students to its Class of 2020. Eight of them are from the Triangle. They are:

Sindhoor Reddy Ambati, daughter of Venkat and Srivani Ambati of Cary, will graduate from Cary Academy. She plans to major in biomedical engineering.

Jada Vyrene Hester, daughter of Billie and Martavyrene Hester of Wake Forest, will graduate from Wake Forest High School. Jada plans to double major in international studies and business administration, with a minor in biological sciences.

Amalan Krishna Iyengar, son of Sumathi and Sridhar Iyengar of Chapel Hill, will graduate from East Chapel Hill High School and plans to major in computer engineering.

Alexandra Lee Obiol, daughter of John and Carla Obiol of Fuquay-Varina, will graduate from Fuquay Varina High School and plans to major in civil engineering.

Elena Martin Price, daughter of David and Luisa Price of Raleigh, will graduate from Athens Drive High School. She plans to major in communication.

Jonathan Schertz, son of Rick Schertz and Leah Dail of Cary, will graduate from Cary High School. Jonathan plans to major in computer and electrical engineering.

Marjorie Tunu Naila Segule, daughter of Nnali Mbilinyi of Cary, will graduate from United World College of South East Asia. Marjorie plans to major in biomedical engineering.

Lauren Siegel, daughter of Raffaella Di Giorgio and Robert Siegel of Raleigh, will graduate from Raleigh Charter High School. She plans to major in computer science.
