Wake County school board member Keith Sutton has raised nearly $3,000 this year in what’s been a nearly uncontested re-election campaign for the District 4 seat.
Sutton reported raising $2,916.61 this election cycle and having $2,778.61 on hand as of Oct. 22, according to his latest campaign report. Heather Elliott has not mounted a campaign and filed paperwork saying she intended to raise and spend less than $1,000
Sutton’s biggest contributors are SAS CEO Jim Goodnight and his wife, Ann Goodnight, who is director of community relations at the business software giant. Both gave $750.
Franklin Freeman, a former N.C. Supreme Court associate justice, gave $400. School board member Kevin Hill gave $316.61.
