Restaurants are offering special meals for Tuesday's inaugural festivities:
Glasshalfull's Chef Ricky Moore has created a "Barackwurst," a combination Chicago hot dog and D.C. half smoke on a poppy seed bun with lilikoi mustard, a passion fruit and nod to Obama's Hawaiian heritage. The Barackwurst comes with French fries and a North Carolina beer for $12.09 at the Carrboro restaurant.
The Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill is hosting a semiformal affair. Tickets are $75 per person for a five-course meal and $100 for the dinner plus two drinks, appetizers and live entertainment. For a reservation, call 929-4000.
Durham's Blu Seafood and Bar is offering dishes inspired by the president-elect: for starters, of course, an arugula salad, and then we move on geographically to a Kansas City strip steak, Chesapeake Bay oysters and Hawaiian sunfish. For information, call 286-9777.
