Pullen train begins holiday run

Pullen Park’s Holiday Express chugs out of the gate starting Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The event, featuring thousands of twinkling holiday lights across the popular park and along its train route and a visit with Santa, runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Sunday.

Organizers have made a couple changes this year, adding extra hours and moving parking to the Dorothea Dix soccer fields on Hunt Drive across Western Boulevard. A shuttle, which can accommodate wheelchairs and strollers, is free to the public.

Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased online at parks.raleighnc.gov or at the door. Call 831-6468 for more information.
