Incumbent Jenna Wadsworth and newcomer Matt Overby won seats on the Wake Soil and Water Conservation District’s board of supervisors Tuesday, taking the most votes among four candidates.
With all percent of precincts reporting, Wadsworth led the ticket with 37 percent of the vote. Overby edged out incumbent Marshall Harvey for the second seat. Jose Fraser finished a distant fourth.
The board of supervisors helps landowners to manage water, soil, plants wildlife and other natural resources within Wake County, offering both technical help and financial resources through state and federal programs.
