U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis’ dog is concerned about Hillary Clinton, Obamacare, ISIS and the deficit – or so it seems in a humorous interview the Republican senator posted on YouTube Friday.

In the video, the 10-year-old boxer named Ike (after President Dwight Eisenhower) makes whining sounds as Tillis questions him:

“Ike, why are you worried? Are you worried about Hillary Clinton? Really? What about Obamacare? What about ISIS, huh? Are you worried about the deficit? The deficit, does it bother you as much as it bothers me?”

Tillis then encourages his dog to vote. “You promise me you’ll vote?” the senator asks the canine, who is not eligible to cast a ballot because he’s neither 18 years old nor human. “Alright buddy, I’m counting on you – vote!”

Tillis explained the video in the caption. “The pressure of the election finally got the better of Ike last night at dinner,” he wrote. “He’s not the first one I’ve had this conversation with over the past few months.”
