The NAACP and other organizations are planning seven days of marches and demonstrations between the Legislative Building and the State Capitol beginning Aug. 22.
Similar campaigns will be going on in other Southern states, according to the NAACP.
The first six days will begin with a meeting at Bicentennial Mall across from the Legislative Building in the afternoon, and then a march to the Capitol for news conferences and rallies.
Each day will bring a focus on a different issue, from labor to justice to voting to Medicaid.
