The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is working to reelect Sen. Kay Hagan in North Carolina, but that’s not who appears in its early voting ads.
The ads – which appeared on news websites throughout the state Thursday – feature the smiling visage of former President Bill Clinton.
“Early voting has begun in North Carolina” announces the bold letters next to the president’s face.
A phone call to DSCC seeking an explanation for the Clinton ads wasn’t immediately returned. But the still popular former president has been holding early voting rallies in Arkansas and Florida, so it’s entirely possible he’ll show up in North Carolina too.
