EdNC is founded by Ferrel Guillory, director of the Program in Public Life and Professor of the Practice at the UNC School of Journalism & Mass Communications, and Gerry Hancock, a lawyer, former Democratic state senator, and lobbyist for a group representing poor school districts.
Mebane Rash, formerly of the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research, is EdNC's CEO and editor-in-chief.
