The General Assembly’s website was down Tuesday morning, because the state failed to renew it.
Dennis McCarty, director of the legislature’s Information Systems Division, said the five-year renewal notice might have been sent to someone who no longer works there. He said staff was on the phone to clear up the matter as soon as possible.
The site — ncleg.net — is a major resource for the legislators, staff and public about what the General Assembly is up to at a given time.
Another site — ncga.state.nc.us — was functioning to a limited extent. Audio feeds, for example, were not online.
