Parents won't have to risk getting caught in the snow to catch Monday's meeting of the Academic Standards Review Commission, which is charged with developing recommendations on how to replace the Common Core standards used in North Carolina's public schools.
The Commission was originally scheduled to meet at 1 p.m. at the Education Building, 301 N. Wilmington St., in Raleigh. But due to the winter storm warning issued for Raleigh, the commission will now meet instead via a conference call.
The public can still observe the meeting by listening online at http://stateboard.ncpublicschools.gov/live-audio-streaming.
The meeting agenda has also been shortened. It will now end at 3:30 p.m. instead of 5 p.m.
