A close adviser to Hillary Clinton, who has been in the news lately for testifying before a congressional committee about the Benghazi, Libya attacks in 2012 and Clinton’s personal email account, will appear in a lecture series in Pinehurst on Thursday.
Jake Sullivan will appear at 7:30 p.m. at the Owens Auditorium at Sandhills Community College to talk about global leadership. Sullivan has also been Vice President Joe Biden’s national security adviser and the senior adviser to the government on the Iran nuclear negotiations. He was director of policy planning at the U.S. Department of State and deputy chief of staff to the secretary of state.
Sullivan is an adviser to Clinton’s presidential campaign. He has been the object of several national news media stories this year.
He will speak as part of the Ruth Pauley Lecture Series. Details are available online.
