Bernie Sanders to hold rally in Greensboro

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will hold a rally Sunday at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, his campaign announced Tuesday.

Sanders, a U.S. Senator and Democrat from Vermont, will speak at the free event Sunday evening at the coliseum’s Special Events Center. That facility can handle up to 5,000 people.

The event is among Sanders’ first appearances in North Carolina since he launched his run for president. He’s also scheduled to hold a rally at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., on Saturday.

Also visiting North Carolina this week: Republican candidate Jeb Bush, who plans to talk about his tax policy on Wednesday in Garner.
