The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee reports it is kicking off a digital advertising campaign to draw attention to U.S. Sen. Richard Burr’s past votes to defund Planned Parenthood.
Burr and several other Republican senators are being targeted in the five-figure ad buy as the battle in Congress over Planned Parenthood funding looms as an issue that threatens to bring a government shutdown.

Burr’s office had no comment on Monday.
