North Carolina Republican and Democratic parties have lined up programs for their annual statewide fall events.
Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., will be the keynote speaker at the state Republican Party’s “Hall of Fame” gathering at a Cary hotel on Nov. 14.
Gov. Pat McCrory will also be on hand to narrate a tribute to Jack Hawke, who died in 2013 after helping build today’s Republican Party in North Carolina. He was a key part of McCrory’s victory as well as that of former Gov. Jim Martin.
Burr and McCrory are up for re-election next year.
On the Democratic side, former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm will be featured at party’s annual Western Gala on Oct. 17 in Asheville.
