Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio will be holding a campaign rally on Jan. 9 somewhere in Raleigh.

Details, including the location, are skimpy for now. “Marco Rubio will be in the Raleigh area on January 9th!” an event page on his website says. “Stay tuned for details and register now to reserve your ticket.”

The event will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., shortly before Rubio heads to Raleigh developer John Kane’s home for a private fundraiser.

While tickets to the fundraiser start at $1,000, admission for the rally appears to be free – as long as you’re willing to provide the campaign with your home address, email address and cell phone number.

That requirement applies to “all adults over age 12,” according to the website.

A spokesman for the Florida senator’s campaign said additional details about the event will be released next week.
