The Senate Conservatives Fund endorsed Jim Duncan in his bid to defeat incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers in the 2nd Congressional District.

Duncan is one of four Republicans challenging Ellmers in the primary. She is seeking a fourth term.

The Senate Conservatives Fund is a PAC that mainly, as its name suggests, focuses on Senate races. But each election cycle it backs a few House candidates.

Duncan is “a principled candidate who has strong grassroots support,” SCF President Ken Cuccinelli said in a statement.
