Gov. Pat McCrory’s re-election campaign fell further behind presumed Democratic challenger Roy Cooper’s in fundraising so far this year.
Reports show that the governor received $750,000 and has $4.3 million cash on hand. Cooper received $1.1 million and has $5.7 million on hand.
The numbers reflect transactions from the first of the year through the end of February. The primary election is next Tuesday.
At the end of 2015, McCrory had $4.1 million on hand, and Cooper had $4.9 million.
