Domecast, our weekly podcast on government and politics in North Carolina, is ready for the weekend of March 12-13.

The North Carolina primary is almost here, and our panel of journalists details the latest happenings. News & Observer and PolitiFact North Carolina reporter Will Doran talks about whether NASCAR really endorsed Donald Trump and how the presidential campaigns have finally arrived in North Carolina.

Several state legislative primaries are heating up despite being overshadowed by the presidential action, and Taylor Knopf of The N&O highlights a few races to watch. And some campaigns for governor are already looking ahead to the general election, as Craig Jarvis of The N&O explains. Democrat Roy Cooper rolled out his education plan this week and again posted bigger fundraising numbers than Pat McCrory.

We wrap up, as always, with Headliners of the Week. Colin Campbell of The N&O hosts.
