Hillary Clinton told a Charlotte crowd earlier this month that Donald Trump wants to get rid of the federal minimum wage, but that she would raise it.
That part of Clinton’s speech got a lot of cheers. In North Carolina as a whole, and Charlotte in particular, the upward mobility prospects are some of the worst in the country, according to at least one recent study.
