Watering restrictions have relaxed a little in Johnston County.
Commissioners voted Monday to allow the county's water customers to use hand-held watering devices anytime. Previously, hand watering was only allowed on weekends.
The revised rules, which went into effect immediately, will also allow water customers to use drip irrigation and soaker hoses for shrubbery and other plants.
"The board felt there needed to be some flexibility," County Manager Rick Hester said.
