Wet and potentially wild weather grabbed the spotlight in Monday's weather forecast, although the National Weather Service said the overall chance of that happening was about 60 percent.
The forecasters said thunderstorms could boil up Monday afternoon and produce strong winds and hail as large as an inch in diameter in the western part of the Triangle. More of the same was possible Monday night as well.
The rest of the area also might see thunderstorms, though not as severe.
Rain and possible thunderstorms were expected to hang around Tuesday and part of Tuesday night.
The forecast put the chance of showers at 30 percent after that and through Thursday night.
