I am begging Gov. Pat McCrory to take a common sense position regarding allowing e-cigarettes in jails. I am quite certain the state will not be paying for these items, so obviously the inmate will be footing the bill.
If an inmate can find the money to purchase e-cigarettes, he can certainly find the money to start paying back his or her victims and indigent services, which in the majority of cases paid for his attorney on the taxpayers’ dime.
Something doesn’t smell quite right here. I wonder whether there could be a politician in the wings who is getting ready to have a palm greased by e-cigarette company executives.
