Jane Shields: Students robbed of education

Regarding the Sept. 28 Point of View “ The cost-free, most important school fix”: After teaching middle school for almost 30 years and substituting the past four, I totally agree with William Massey’s Point of View. I love teaching, but in today’s classroom, unfortunately, dealing with discipline issues steals most of our time, and too many students are robbed of their right to a free education. I see their faces every time I’m in the classroom. It’s time something is done, and it costs no money.
