Regarding the Nov. 6 editorial “ Where to now?”: Your coverage of the election results really downplays the extent of the GOP wave. Since Obamacare was established there are 70 more GOP reps in the House and now a very comfortable majority in the Senate. We have not seen these numbers in several decades.
Now 32 of the 50 governors are Republicans. The GOP took races in Illinois, Michigan, Massachusetts and Maryland, which by the way received no coverage from your paper even though they are very blue states.
Your editorial writers seem to think having President Obama here more would have helped Sen. Kay Hagan. Talk about denial. Ask those Democratic governors who lost whether having Obama campaign for them did any good. Hearing the president talk recently, it seems he is in denial as well.
