Thomas Ragusa: 1 percent beats 99

The Republicans have successfully convinced the 99 percent of North Carolinians it is fiscally irresponsible to invest in their children’s education. The result of this last election is the 99 percent have consigned their children to a second-, perhaps third-rate education while at the same time, granted to the 1 percent tax breaks, thereby helping to pay for their children’s superior education.

The result of this last election will be and possibly not limited to: More good jobs, the foundation of a strong middle class, are going to be sent overseas so the 1 percent can make more profit. More tax breaks are going to be granted to the 1 percent and paid for by the 99 percent.
