Regarding the Nov. 9 letter “ Prime position”: Not unlike the letter writer, I was perplexed about the order of candidates on the recent election ballot. I was very angry when I learned that this was due to a 2013 change in the law that required that nominees of the sitting governor’s party appear first on the ballot.
This is beyond petty and a clear underhanded attempt at voter manipulation. In the world of honest voting, it makes no sense. It is a sad statement about the Republicans’ attempt to control as much as possible. Even the Democrats, who controlled our state for many years, did not stoop to that level.
When will our electorate wake up to such tactics?
