Regarding the Nov. 12 news article “ House chamber getting $125K facelift”: To cover the immense and stately doors of the N.C. House chamber with cheap wallboard is an insult and slap in the face to the residents of North Carolina. Who authorized this travesty and why weren’t some leading House Republicans, much less the full House membership, consulted? “The Senate did it first” is no excuse.
