I read U.S. Sen. Richard Burr’s Dec. 17 letter “Watergate vs. Feinstein.” He pointed out the differences between the Watergate hearings under former Sen. Sam Ervin and the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings under current Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
I agree, there were some differences. Fortunately, as incoming chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee in January, Burr will be in a position to correct those errors. A bipartisan investigation that will “restore the public’s faith in the congressional investigative process” is just what is needed. I, for one, will look forward to it.
