In reference to Sen. Richard Burr’s Dec. 17 letter “ Watergate vs. Feinsten” criticizing his colleague, Sen. Dianne Feinstein: Not too long ago, in his statement about the Benghazi report, Burr said, “It is our obligation and duty to continue to ask probing questions and investigate all details as they continue to come to light – as they invariably will.”
Given this expressed doggedness for truth and transparency, how is it possible for him to dismiss the CIA torture report as an insignificant “footnote” in history?
