Philip N. Henry: Narrow views of terrorists

It is clear from the recent violence in Paris how easy it is for terrorists to become so absorbed in mere ideas and viewpoints that they attack and kill. Apparent distorted interpretations about God and when God is offended fuel much of the violence.

Over the history of humankind, when has a reputed “all powerful” God ever needed a human’s assistance to silence anyone? Perpetrators of this nonsense hide in the shadows as they strike out maiming, plundering, kidnapping, raping, terrorizing and causing pain to fellow humans for completely selfish reasons.

Liberating and educating women around the world is one answer to this madness. We need a marketplace of ideas flowing and free of chains that bind humanity to narrow interpretations of life.
