Jim Kessler: Out of his hands

Regarding the Feb. 4 Under the Dome article “ After talk, Tillis’ hands get second look”: The story indicated that Sen. Thom Tillis believes that companies like Starbucks should be able to opt out of hand-washing requirements as long as they post signs saying they don’t require hand washing. So we are going to have a requirement “as long as they post signs” (wink, wink, nod, nod = regulation) that provides oversight for the elimination of a regulation. What was he thinking, oh, he wasn’t.
