Three-year effort to widen NC 42 east of Clayton begins Monday

Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will spend more than three years widening a 4.5-mile stretch of N.C. 42 from Glen Laurel Road in Clayton east to Buffalo Road. The work begins Monday, Oct. 29.
