The Duke men’s basketball team released its 2018-19 preseason schedule Monday, including the dates for the annual Countdown to Craziness and two home exhibition games.

The 2018-19 season will tip off with the Countdown to Craziness on Friday, Oct. 19 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The always entertaining event features games, videos, contests and gives fans their first glimpse at the 2018-19 roster.

The new look Blue Devils will feature another talented freshman group, ranked the top class in the nation by 247Sports. The freshman class includes the No. 1 player in the nation, forward R.J. Barrett, the No. 2 player, guard Cam Reddish and the No. 5 player, Zion Williamson.

Tre Jones, the No. 3 ranked point guard in the class of 2018, and Joey Baker (No. 33 nationally) round out the heralded group. Countdown to Craziness concludes with the annual Blue-White scrimmage.

On Oct. 23, the Blue Devils will host Virginia Union, the reigning CIAA champions in an exhibition contest. Ferris State, last year’s Division II national champions, will come to Cameron Indoor on Oct. 27. Game times for those two contest will be announced at a later date.

In August, Duke heads to Canada for three games. The Blue Devils will take on Ryerson University (Aug. 15) and University of Toronto (Aug. 17) in Toronto and McGill University (Aug. 19) in Montreal.

The Blue Devils open the regular season Nov. 6 against Kentucky in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis.
