North Carolina coach Mike Fox said starting pitcher Luca Dalatri threw on Monday night and felt good.
Dalatri had suffered an injury in the first inning of UNC's game against Oregon State. He told his coach on the mound that he didn't have anything on his pitches and wasn't feeling right. Dalatri was pulled after recording two outs. He gave up one run.
Dalatri had missed 12 weeks during the regular season because of elbow soreness. He came back and has pitched in five games, including Saturday's game against Oregon State.
But Fox said it wasn't Dalatri's elbow that was bothering him. He said it was his neck.

"I watched him today before the game, he kind of stretched it out good, looked like the ball was coming out of his hand good," Fox said. "I asked him how he felt and how it was, he said he felt great. So that's a good sign for us.
"He's been getting treatment on his neck and we'll see."
