Mitchell Robinson Eager To See President Trump At Game 3 Of NBA Finals

At least one member of the New York Knicks is excited that President Donald Trump will be at Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Trump, a Queens native, confirmed this week that he'll attend Game 3 at Madison Square Garden. There were rumblings about him wanting to attend the Eastern Conference Finals, but the Knicks quickly took care of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now, the president of the United States has a chance to watch his hometown team square off against the San Antonio Spurs on the biggest stage possible.

"We're seeing that in New York, and I think President Trump is very much a New Yorker, and I'm thrilled that yet another New Yorker wants to participate in the enthusiasm and the joy around this Knick team," NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

Although we're two days away from Game 3, NBA fans are convinced Knicks center Mitchell Robinson will have an epic performance with Trump in attendance.

A few TikTok users posted videos of them hooping along with the caption: "How Mitchell Robinson is about to be moving with Trump in attendance for Game 3."

Robinson, who hasn't been shy about his political stance, made it known that he's excited to compete in front of the president.

"You ain't lying brother," Robinson wrote.

Not every player on the Knicks is fond of Trump.

Knicks forward Josh Hart called out Trump in 2018 for insulting LeBron James' intelligene.

"It's just childish. That's someone (James) who literally just opened a school in this past week helping kids from the inner city, kids who don't have parents in their lives and that kind of thing," Hart said, via Silver Screen and Roll. "Someone who's a role model obviously for young African Americans. So to see that, it's childish and it's a shame that that's our president, but hopefully he'll be better. But it's childish."

Two years later, Hart celebrated Joe Biden's win over Trump in the presidential election.

"YESSIR!!!! GET TRUMP'S [EXPLETIVE] OUT THE WHITE HOUSE," he wrote on social media.

It'll be interesting to see how the crowd greets Trump at Madison Square Garden.
