Duke assistant coach Nolan Smith sported a unique suit coat for Friday night's round of 16 game against Syracuse in Omaha, Neb.
Smith's coat featured blue patterns that stood out when viewed next to the conservative attire of the rest of the Duke coaches.
Smith said EFM, a New York menswear designer, sent him a few coats and he knew this was the right one for the this game.
"This was my favorite," Smith said. "I knew the Sweet 16 was the time to bring it out."
He has a different one for Sunday's game, but "not like this one," Smith said.
Duke's players saw Smith wearing it for the first time at the hotel before the game. They were, in a word, impressed.
"I said, 'Yo, that's clean,'" Wendell Carter Jr. said. "I need one."
