Freshman center Jahlil Okafor was selected as ACC Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
The honor marks the seventh time this season and third in as many weeks that the Chicago native garnered the award.
Okafor averaged 16.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in two contests for the Blue Devils.

Campbell: Summer Price is the Big South Freshman of the Week after leading Campbell to a pair of victories and averaging 17 points against Gardner-Webb and Radford.
Price is the second Camel to earn a nod from the conference this season; sophomore Amanda Coffer was named the Big South Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 24.
Duke: Women’s coach Kerstin Kimel has announced the addition of two staff members to the program. Former Duke standout Virginia Crotty Danowski joins the Blue Devils as a volunteer assistant coach and Laurie Tortorelli DeLuca will support the program as a volunteer operations assistant.
The Blue Devils host Towson in a scrimmage at Koskinen Stadium at 11 a.m. Jan. 31.
UNC: The No. 6 North Carolina men’s tennis team swept UT-Chattanooga 7-0 at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in the first half of Monday’s doubleheader. With the win, the Tar Heels move to 3-0 in the young dual-match season.
Duke: The No. 12 Duke tennis team withstood a tough test from No. 18 Kentucky inside the Hillary J. Boone Tennis Complex, edging the Wildcats 5-2.
Wake Forest: No. 60 Wake Forest completed a clean sweep, earning 7-0 wins against College of Charleston and No. 62 Winthrop in its season-opening doubleheader inside the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Sunday.
