South Carolina baseball lands commitment from in-state pitcher

South Carolina baseball picked up another in-state commitment Sunday.

Hanahan High School rising sophomore Aidan Hunter committed to the Gamecocks. He is the third commit for Class of 2021 and second from Charleston area. Summerville’s Cole Messina committed last month.

Hunter was in Columbia this weekend, taking part in Diamond Prospects’ Palmetto Games at Founders Park.

The right-hander was a 5-1 with 1.13 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings this season for the Hawks.
