Franklin Academy takes runner-up in NCHSAA 1A/2A girls golf championships

N.C. School of Science and Math was 10th and North Johnston 13th after not all of its players were able to complete Day 2.

Clinton’s Amy Wooten was the state champ by 13 strokes after shooting an even par. Carrboro’s Meghan McPeak (14th) was the closest area player after shooting 34-over-par.
