Most inspiring teacher: Third grade teacher Mrs. Martin. She was always very optimistic and encouraging. She would incorporate life stories and life lessons along with the basic curriculum to broaden our knowledge.

A book that impacted my life was: Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech. At an early age, this book taught me to understand other people’s problems before I judge their actions.

It is hard to believe that we used to: That we performed unethical clinical studies such as the Tuskegee syphilis experiment.

Who epitomizes a good American: Mason Wartman – a man who left his job on Wall Street to open a “pay it forward” pizza shop that now feeds 40 homeless people a day.

My favorite charity is: Meals on Wheels because I am providing a service to defeat hungry and it also provides an opportunity for fellowship.

Whose life inspires you: Michelle Obama

Ideal guest list: Nikki Giovanni, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dave Chappelle

Something that you enjoy that would surprise people: Rap music and corny jokes
