Favorite courses: math and science

I was fascinated to learn: about the anatomy of a cow’s digestive system when I had the opportunity to place my arm in a cannulated cow at an FFA competition.

Most inspiring teacher: Andrew Vaglio, AP U.S. History and AP Human Geography

A book that has had an impact on my life: The Bible, because it is what I believe in and I choose to live my life by it.

It is hard to believe that we used to: prevent women from voting and participating in politics.

My favorite charity: International Mission Board

The world’s biggest problem is: our world no longer finds importance in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Who epitomizes what a good American should be: I don’t think one specific person represents what a good American should be. I think a good American is an individual who works hard to achieve his goals, supports his country and stands up for what he believes in.

Whose life inspires you: Kay Yow, because despite the challenges she went through with cancer, she continued to make the best out of her life and kept her faith.

Ideal guest list: Ronald Reagan, George Strait, Misty May Treanor

Something I enjoy that would surprise people: I’ve read every Nicholas Sparks book ever published.

I wish I had been there for: the 1983 NCAA championship. Go Pack!
