Southwest Wake Athletic all-conference boys lacrosse

Middle Creek and Apex shared the 2015 Southwest Wake Athletic Conference boys lacrosse title, and top player honors as well. Apex midfielder Chandler Besser and Middle Creek goalie Nick Arcuri were named co-SWAC players of the year as voted on by league coaches.

The SWAC also named Apex’s John Hayden coach of the year.

Also from Apex (20-2, 15-1) on the first team along with Besser (37 goals, 31 assists) were Jack Hayden (51 goals, 44 assists) and Sean Seaver. Brendan Farrell (48 goals, 13 assists) and Tommy DeLuca were on the second team.

Middle Creek (18-2, 15-1) had Arcuri, Jared Medwar (62 goals, 31 assists), Jack Doetzer (32 goals, 18 assists), Owen Caputo (62 goals, 41 assists) and Jack Diebolt on the first team. Dylan Bryan (23 goals, 27 assists) and Ryan Robley were on the second team

Athens Drive (13-6, 11-5) placed Conor Gronbach (48 goals, 14 assists) and Peyton Smith on the first team. Brock Martin (35 goals, 24 assists) and Travis Hinshaw were on the second squad.

Green Hope (10-7, 10-6) had Jack McAulay on the first team and Tucker Burkinshaw on the second.

Holly Springs (10-8, 9-7) placed Scott Johnson (35 goals, 11 assists), Davis Ferguson (38 goals, 13 assissts) and Caleb Ferguson on the second team.

Andrew Pritko was the SWAC second-team goalie and only selection for Panther Creek (8-11, 6-10).

No players from Cary (4-13, 4-12), Pinecrest (2-14, 2-14) or Fuquay-Varina (1-14, 0-14) made the team.

Besser, Arcuri, Farrell, Doetzer, Bryan, Diebolt, Smith, Gronbach and Martin were all-conference selections from a year ago.
