Field, Palka lead the way for Rochester against Durham

ROCHESTER, N.Y.

Tommy Field and Daniel Palka each homered and drove in two runs as the Rochester Red Wings beat the Durham Bulls 6-2 on Wednesday.

Rochester started the scoring in the first inning when Palka hit an RBI single and Adam Walker hit an RBI double.

After Rochester added two runs, the Bulls cut into the deficit in the fifth inning when Nick Franklin hit a two-run single.

The Red Wings later tacked on two runs in the sixth when Field and Darin Mastroianni hit RBI doubles to secure the victory.

Rochester southpaw Nick Greenwood (2-1) picked up the win after allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings. Opposing starter Jacob Faria (1-2) took the loss after a rough outing in which he allowed six runs and nine hits over five innings.

Jaff Decker doubled and singled for the Bulls.
