What NBA games are on TV on Christmas Day?


The NBA’s Christmas Day tradition continues, highlighted by five nationally televised games from New York to Los Angeles:

Noon: Washington Wizards (19-8) at New York Knicks (5-25), ESPN: Surprising Wizards are led by arguably the Eastern Conference’s top point guard in Raleigh native John Wall. Carmelo Anthony and woeful Knicks off to franchise’s worst start.

2:30 p.m.: Oklahoma City Thunder (13-16) at San Antonio Spurs (18-11), ABC: Former Wake Forest star Tim Duncan leads reigning champion Spurs against dynamic duo of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.

5 p.m.: Cleveland Cavaliers (17-10) at Miami Heat (13-16), ABC: LeBron James returns to South Beach, where he won two NBA championships with former teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

8 p.m.: Los Angeles Lakers (9-19) at Chicago Bulls (19-9), 8 p.m., TNT: After sitting out Tuesday’s win against Golden State, the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant returns to lineup to face Bulls and former sidekick Pau Gasol.

10:30 p.m.: Golden State Warriors (23-4) at Los Angeles Clippers (19-10), TNT: The day’s top matchup will feature a pair of North Carolinians at point guard – the Warriors’ Stephen Curry (Davidson) vs. the Clippers’ Chris Paul (Wake Forest).
