• The Hornets again played a home game in their teal uniforms, rather than the traditional white home uniforms. The teal counts as an “alternate” jersey, so there are a limited number of times they’re supposed to wear them in a season.
• It was still up in the air an hour before game time whether point guard Kemba Walker would play, after he missed the previous two games with a sore left knee. Walker tested the joint in warmups and felt good enough to start.

• Heat center and Gastonia native Hassan Whiteside missed this game after spraining his ankle Tuesday in Miami against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Since this is the last time this regular season the Heat comes to Charlotte, I’m sure that was a disappointment.
• Hornets coach Steve Clifford still played center Al Jefferson off the bench with limited minutes while Jefferson gets back game conditioning.
